Please note: These documents are the officially recognized documents for osteopathic postdoctoral training as submitted by the specialty colleges approved by the Education Councils and the AOA Board of Trustees. AOA does not cross-check documents posted on specialty college web sites.
The Common Institutional and Program Requirements is a streamlined reference to those standards from the AOA Basic Documents for Postdoctoral Training that apply to all specialty programs. The standards in the Common Institutional and Program Requirements is an adjunct to the specialty standards and are included in the evaluation of all programs for initial or continuing approval. The AOA Basic Document is the comprehensive document governing all aspects of AOA approved postdoctoral training requirements.
