On March 23, 2010, U.S. President Barack Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). Bringing to an end more than 15 months of intense legislative activity, the new law marks the first time in our nation's history that all Americans are guaranteed access to health care coverage.
